


In-store media concept with internal TV channel
21.01.2010meltv – individual addressing for increased sales - has been on display across Switzerland in all larger melectronics stores since September 2009. screenFOODnet provided the software for this project to generate the ideal digital signage solution for the business.
screenFOODnet have been able to deploy their software as part of the new in-store media concept from melectronics so that the TV wall, promotion areas and public display areas of the branches and specialist stores can be used for their own advertising and advertising for others in the future.
In this way, more than 100 locations across Switzerland have been equipped with PC player systems and the screenFOOD® software. melectronics customers will now be addressed individually with sales promotion advertising and also informed with selected videos that will be displayed on the TV walls in HD quality. All in all, more than 3000 screens will be being controlled using screenFOOD® software.
In this project, the software is based on the client server version. This means that all the PCs installed will be editable via internet access. This guarantees that centrally programmed contents are played on the screens in each store. It can all be controlled from one point but still presented individually, because only those products that are available directly at the location in question are advertised.
The project could only be realised in successful cooperation with the partners involved. In addition to the project management by melectronics, SONY Overseas SA (general business management), Ultra (content production and management), Inhalt und Form (content creation), Bild und Ton (installation And services) and Alpiq In Tec AG (electro installation) were also involved.
